This is my paternal grandmother, Walberga Ursula Escherich, in the 1940s on Church Hill in Richmond VA. Her father was a German immigrant who ran a boarding house in which she carried "buckets of suds" to the boarders.

Sorry for the misspelling of the name, Oma! It is Walburga, not Walberga!
