Hargadon Conenction:: The photo of the Hargadons of Uphall is the family who brought up my father for a few years after his mother died when he was only 3. His father Patrick, not in photo because he had moved to Wishaw for work

More About Me:: My grandfather moved to Uphall, Broxburn, West Lothian with his family and moved to Wishaw where he worked at Lanarkshire Engineering. He married Catherine Quinn from Motherwell and had 4 children Margaret (Peggy), Catherine, Ella and my father Bernard born 22 Feb 1917. In 1920 my Grandmother died and my father went to Uphall to be looked after for a couple of years. My father married Kathleen McCaffrey in 1942 and they had 3 children Patrick born 21 June 1943, myself Brian born 15 August 1947 and Philip born 5 April 1950. We have all married and Pat and I have children. Pat and I still live in Motherwell and Phil has moved to Spain.

My records show your grandmother Catherine as dying ai 111 CraigneukSt in Wishaw on April 2 1921 and your grandfather marrying Bridget Hughston on April 27 1922 in St. Nicholas & St. John Kantus RC Church in Broxburn.
