Hargadon Conenction:: I am the daughter of the late Bernard Joseph Hargadon and Mary Jane Hargadon of Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. I am the youngest of their four children. My father was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. He was the son of Joseph Hargadon and Jean Young Hargadon. My father had one sister, Jean Hargadon Olear.

More About Me:: My husband Matthew Michaels and I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, in a small town Wyoming. We have a three year old son, Louis Bernard Hargadon Michaels. My father passed away in April 1994. My father ran the local Wilkes Barre Family YMCA and died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack. He was an avid runner. After his passing the YMCA named a 3 mile run that he had established in his honor. This run is held each July 4th, it is a great legacy. This July 4th with be the 26th Annual Bernie Hargadon 3 Mile Run/Walk. We would love to see some Hargadons! Steve came to this race in 2000, and it was an honor for our family to have him. Jean Hargadon Olear's children also come each year from Elizabeth NJ, as well as from CA! Looking forward to meeting and learning about other Hargadons!

I visited Ireland (Sligo) in 2004 and spent time with Bernard Hargadon and he was the last person to know the family history in the early 1900's as he was 92. So I obained some information from him and the family, Unfortunately he died new years eve 2004 and the last time I saw him was when he left on his motor scooter. from a family gathering near his home. .

I have searched all the records I can for data on the death of your GF to no avail. I was wondering if you or your Mom could supply any details for me. I also can't find the date of your father's birth and would appreciate that info as well. I have a lot of info on the Hargadon side of the family back to about 1840 if you are interested.
